Basically, this is one of the last songs I finished for the album. For the longest time, it (‘Exile’) was a work-in-progress. I saw a movie and the score was wonderful. I don’t remember the movie now but I really wanted to use the violin, and although I had never done it before, the movie score feel was something I needed to try out. Somewhere during the middle of the track the violins take centre stage. I liked it quite a lot. Anna da Costa (not a violinist by profession) played violin and she is a really talented musician. You hear three to four violins in the song but she has played all the parts and I just layered them together.
